  • Big trouble with relections!

    Hello!
I've modeled and animated a photo camera.
The environment for illumination and reflections is a hdri image.
All the camera has metal materials with interpolated reflections that give a nice look, but as the camera move they change each frame... not good at all!

(Also the glow effect 'dance' in a strange way, but this is another problem...)

I think that my settings for imap and for interp. reflections are quite high (each frame take about 25 min. !!!), but the animation has much noise.
I don't understand where is my mistake.

    Here are some frames:

Here are the settings for the metal material (the reflection is the same for all)

    Here is the animation:

Here is the model: (4.6 mb, with maps)

    ... I really need help!
    Thank-you!

interpolated glossy for reflections does not work well with animation...thats what's causing the flickering/dancing reflections

But does it mean that I should use refletions non interpolated?

It can't be possible! It woud take more than 1 hour per frame I think!

yep - get used to it!

try setting subdivs down to 5 or 10 and see what it looks like.

          re

drop the subdivisions down from 50 and go from there.
Indecisive archictects will be the death of us all.
