  • MAX material editor

    Hello,
It might sound as that I am completely stupid, but how do I add more material slots to material editor??? Is the amount of materials used in scene limited to the number of the default slots???
I want to add some more mats to edit but I simply cannot!!!

    Please help....thanks...

P.S.: I know itll probably be really easy to adjust this, but until now I never got to use all the slot by the default...

    Best regards Martin

well you can have up to 24 slots, right clicking gives you the option to see more, but....the basic principle is that it is a material "editor"...you can have more materials then you can see in the editor, every time you make one it, if its applied to the scene, it wont overwrite the one "underneath".

To see all the materials in the scene, click the "get material" button (far left in editor) and set the new dialoge to "scene"

hmm, I think you just simply add, a new one, it will not owerwrite those materials which are already in the scene. Otherwise just press F1 and type:material editor...
