  • Flashing Windows

Does anybody have issues with their Windows, going crazy, and flashing back and fourth? It is a not responding issue, and it is keeping me from getting anything done.

Yep - it's as if every window in 3dsmax splits into a separate process on the windows taskbar. Very annoying and I've found nothing to fix it yet.

I did turn off the Window service (Desktop Window Manager), that lets the OS know when something isn't responding, which seems to help. I also turned off Aero.

Yeah I never had that until I started working with window 7. Its hard to get control back when that happens and I can't figure out exactly
what sends it off. I'll try the solutions posted by glorybound to see if that helps.

I have had issues saving because I couldn't get focus back on the save dialog box.

This drives me nuts as well. I only started experiencing it with max 2012. My vray windows get sticky all the time and pop in and out. Argggg!
