for most things, like architectural flyby, is deafult motion blur samples of 6 fine? Or would you need to push it up to like 32 maybe? How much does it impact in rendertimes if you push up the value from 6 to 32 for example?

It is different for each scene, depending on how fast the camera is moving, so you'll have to do some tests to find a good value (f.e. choose a frame with the largest camera movement and render a small region with different values to see which one produces acceptable results).
