  • Well, I finally did it!

I just finished ordering vray advanced a few minutes ago and couldn't be happier!

Now, where is my authorization Just Kidding! I haven't been this excited about spending $800.00 dollars in a long time. I must be sick.

yeah, you must be sick .......hehehehe...I can think of a milion things to spend 800 bucks on and be ecxided about....like the local strip club for example......although 800 is a bit too much for that....hehehe

          anyway, congrats!!

Tony Congrats, I'm still trying to convince my boss that we need Vray in our office. The scene of your dream workspace from a previous post is trully inspiring.

After seeing that post I downloaded the free version of Vray and used it on an exterior scene and loved the results.(my boss commented on the incresed quality of images, I think he may be warming up)

I'm now setting up an interior scene and it looks like many of the feature sets that are in the advanced version could really improve the quality of the scene. Like lighting; Vray lights, Vray light planes, etc...

My question is, did you use the free "Vray demo" to produce your workspace scene(i'm guessing thats where the logo in the corner comes from)? And was it enough to give you an idea of all of the feature sets in Vray advanced?

            Thanks in advance
            Bret

I used the demo version for that scene and then erased the watermarks in photoshop. It was test rendering just for me so no harm done.

The advanced version is definitely the way to go for maximum quality. The $800.00 dollars will be recouped after the first new job you get because of the increased quality you can get, not to mention the time you will save because its so much faster than any other program out there.

Spend the money, you or your boss won't regret it!
