  • environment slot HDRI & distributed renderings

    hi

i am having a problem getting mt renderfarm to see the hdri's in the environment slots .... my paths are correct and distributed rendering works beatifully otherwise.

is it my version of vray (version i)

or is this not possible with vray

I think I may have read an issue about this somewhere on the forum. I don't think the HDRI is distributed around the farm in the same way as all the bitmaps. How big is the HDRI file?

    1) Try checking 'include maps' when submitting the job.

    2) Manually look in the rendering temp folders of each slave and see if you can find the HDRI image in there. If not, you could maybe try 'suspending' the job after submitting and manually copy the HDRI file into the slave job folders.

Make sure you load the HDR from an UNC path (\renderslavemapsmap.hdr)

are you seeing this issue in newer builds also ,

is this caused by the hdri extension as opposed to a bmp, jpgor tiff extension....

i will try your suggestion within our pipeline and let you guys know

yes it's in newer builds too, it's not been fixed yet.

But I don't know what's causing it, but if you don't load the maps with UNC paths the renderslaves will NOT load the map with normal netrendering, I'm 99% sure it's the same with DR.
