Could someone clarify version compatibility for me?

I've just installed 3ds Max 2012 64 bit but it wouldn't pick up my old vray 1.5 SP5 installation (wouldn't list it as an option under 'assign renderer')

I've uninstalled that version and went to get a new one but when I went to the downloads page I can't find a version of 1.5 for Max 2012. I installed the 2011 64 bit but that didn't work.

I've checked the forums and read that 1.5 was being recompiled back in April for use in 2012 but I can't find any downloads for it. I also can't find a Vray 2.0 download ( I don't need it but I'm curious why I can't find it) I'm starting to think the site has moved!

Does Vray 1.5 work in Max 2012? Is there a different location for it? where is Vray 2.0?

I don't think you will see an option to download Vray 2.0 unless you have purchased it. Could be wrong though. Vray 2.0 is a paid upgrade from 1.5.

Right, well that makes sense I guess, thanks. Any idea where I can find a 1.5 installation for Max 2012?

Tho weirdly ordered it is in there for me. For 2.0 you usually see Demo builds only if you have not upgraded.

Ok thanks Vlado, is it a finished build? I presume the only reason it's not on the download page is to encourage purchase of V-ray 2.0?
