i won such a thing in a competition.
tried to sell it on ebay a few weeks later,
        but no one bought it.

the one i had worked like a joystick with more dimensions.
i found it to be absolutely useless even when using it in addition to a mouse.

did you ever tried to play quake with a joystick?
no chance against a mouse and its the same with a 3d app.

the problem is that you cant move to an absolut position like with a mouse
but you can only give a rotation/move direction and a speed-vector.
        Reflect, repent and reboot.
        Order shall return.

              HI!
My friend has one, and it's not so bad.
It takes some time to get used to it, but then ... I don't know I didn't have that much time. I think it would take some days, and then it's OK.

              I hope it helped
