What's the best way to get rid of the "grain" or "noise" when dealing with glass and caustics. I want to keep the lines sharp, but clean... I can only get it to be clean when it's kind of dull (high max photon) What should the max search radius be?? It doesn't seem to have much of an effect for me... and how high is too high with the caustic sub-d??? I also don't want it to take forever to render. =P Thanks for any tips... I alreay looked at the tut on this site, but I still can't seem to make sense of it.

    oh yeah

...forgot to ask... when dealing with photon maps whether it be for caustics or gi, if I have a map saved, and I change settings like search dist. or max photons, does it affect the map? or is it fine to go off of the map? And also caustic subdivision... how does that work with settings being changed after the map has been rendered and whatnot? Thanks again
