Hi Folks,
I'm doing a few furry bits at the minute with the max hair and fur mod and I wanted to use a geometry mode of rendering to use vray shaders and get passes out for the compositors. MR prim is really handy since it gives you the option of a separate shader for the hair and fur rather than the source object, but it seems to lose mapping coordinates along the length of the hair. Geometry mode keeps mapping options but you lose the option of a separate shader on the hair. I think I've tried every possibility of uv / vw / wu and rotation about the u,v and w axis in the mapping coordinates but nothing seems to behave. Has anyone gotten this working or is it a known issue?
Cheers,
John
