  • Will two added irradiance maps with overlaps contain errata?

If calculating accumulated irradiance maps from say frame 0-50 and frame 40-100 out of the same animation sequence and adding these two, will it contain erronous data or will duplicate data be filtered away?

I haven't had the chance to test this out yet so I was kinda hoping someone would have the answer

    Thanks

If you always use the "Incremental add to current map" mode, then new GI samples will be computed only if there isn't already sufficient data in the irradiance map.

A small doubt that I have...
Let's say that then I add to the scene a small sphere, and then I render it again with "incremental add to current map", VRay will need to calculate the whole scene's GI, won't it???

      Thanks again
