  • free grass generation program

has anyone used bantam grass and is it any good?

it sure looks good, because it creates geometry based grass with total bezier-like control of the shape and color
you can use black/white maps for growth and density contol
i'm at work, so i can't try it right now...
    and it's free

Here's a small preview of what will be possible with the next VRay build:

The scene took only a few minutes to set up so it's not art, just meant to show the possiblities.

That's wicked cool...and I've been studying the 'grassy sheep' file for a bit now...but still don't quite understand it...granted, I normally use Lightwave and have just started scratching the surface of 3dsmax which by the way is on my dad's computer...so any help in this matter would be kindly appreciated..

how did you get that vray version?
                          Reflect, repent and reboot.

I havent had ALOT of time to study the sheep just yet, but is it me or in that pic that egz posted, are the "blades" actually cylindrical objects? Looks like a whole bunch of green pencils to me, vs grass.

I think these blades are procedural obejcts, eh?

cooool, is there a chance to define the form of them or to manipulate them in a certain way?

Cool Stuff is coming up i think!
