    hi !

    i`m rendering an technical animation. the szene has a high number of polygons (about 2 million). i tested some settings and the best i get are:

    singel frame (object motion)

    First bounce
    -3/-1
    Clr thresh 0,3
    Nrm thresh 0,3
    Dist. thresh 0,5
    Hsph. subdivs 50
    Interp. samples: 20

    Secoundary bounces
    Direct Computation
    Subdivs 3
    Depth 5

    the main problem is, that GI flickers between the geometries and the rendertime is about 30min by a dual MP2000 (960x540) !

    doese anyone have an idea

    re

    don't interpolate glossy reflections...set the subdivisions to something inbetween 10 and 20
    Indecisive archictects will be the death of us all.
