I am doing a scene using Multiscatter. I know from past experience, when using MS, not to use LC. If I set BF as my first bounce do I need a second bounce? If so, would the second bounce be IRR?

Second bounce is either BF or LC. If you're doing an exterior, BF might not be bad in terms of render times since a lot of the rays that bounce will fire off up into the sky and become irrelevant.

okay. second question.... I am also using PSD manager, so I need to use the MAX Frame Buffer. I'm saving out as an EXR so I set my to Gamma 1, which shows dark in the MAX Frame Buffer. In the VFB I can tick Srgb, but that isn't available in MAX. Am I thinking correctly? If I have my gamma 2.2 then it'll be double gamma'd when I open it in PS. I don't have time to test so I am asking now.

hmmm... I just tested it and my thinking was off. I had to set it back to 2.2.
