  • Affect Specular for VrayLightMaterial?

    Can this option be added to the material? I really hate fake speculars and can't get around them when using VRLmaterial. I could use a meshlight instead, but because it's kind of a pain to alpha the shape of a Vraylight I tend to use the material a lot instead.

    Would be cool. I've also had trouble getting my vray light alpha correct, might be nice to have an option to see our texture on the vray light as a plane or something when using textures for lighting, would make life a lot easier.

      Yeah - the lack of ability to visualize the light textures in the viewport is another big reason I tend to avoid meshlights. That said, I'm using them all over the place in my current project, just to get the spec control. It would be nice to have it all in one, on at least one of the options for sure.

        I'll see what can be done about it. It is not difficult to do these when the material is used with the direct illumination option; but without it, it is somewhat more complicated.
