This is slightly tricky to explain, but basically I can't find a workable way to use VRay Dirt on thin objects without doing something like deleting the back face, which isn't ideal. Would it be possible to have a setting/tick box that allows you to exclude each object from calculating itself... Not sure how else to explain myself, perhaps a picture would help.

is this what is causing my problem here:
http://www.chaosgroup.com/forums/vbu...-dirt-odd-gaps
doesnt look like the same effect but might somehow explain it...?
guess a test without backfaces is in order, although not an option really as its a refractive object.

Try deleting the back faces to see what results you get. Could possibly be causing your problem. I'd love to see this feature introduced though.Check out my (rarely updated) blog @ http://macviz.blogspot.co.uk/

Thank you Would be such a useful feature to have in VRay 3.0; I could then really start using it on almost everything.Check out my (rarely updated) blog @ http://macviz.blogspot.co.uk/
