  • VrayShadow paramter of spotlight: cannot wire?

I'm just testing out wiring parameters for a Max spotlight, but I cannot seem to access the VrayShadow parameters from the 'wire parameters' menu. Is there a way to access them so I can connect the size for the area shadow to the size of another object?

    Thanks /b

Those size parameters don't appear to be animatable. It may be possible to trick a scripted controller to animate them.

Thanks Daniel, appreciate the answer. That is currently well over my head (I'm stretching my animation skills to wire that parameter ) so I'll have to just manually change it I guess.

Ok, I suspect it is possible but that it would be a bit of a hack job.

Unfortunately only animatable parameters can be wired and we never saw a reason to make the VRayShadow parameters animated (until now that is ). We can implement this if you need it, it's not a big issue.
