    Heya

Can any1 explain to me how does it work.

On my laptop in material cut off I can set max of 0.001 then if I type 0.0001 It goes down to 0.0

On my workstation I can type 0.00000001 and so on and it stays this way...

    any1 had it b4?

yes you just have to change your "spinner precision" in the max preferences. it defaults to 3, which is way too limiting. i always turn it to 6 on any new install.. i dont know if there are issues with turning it up very high, but 6 usually covers any subtlety i need.

Beware in max of values with numbers with more than 7 or 8 decimal places, you may encounter odd behaviour due to double precision floating numbers... google it and then be confused.

To see what I mean.. move an object a very very long way away from the origin and then start trying to move it by very small amounts... it'll jump about all over the place.....

Personally I don't understand why these numbers have to be so low. Why not start with for instance 100. Then do the conversion under the hood within the software.
