Dont AA against background

In Max preferences > rendering > background > there is a tick box that is by default unticked that says "Don't Antialias Against Background"

Does this option affect the way VRay renders against backgrounds in any way or does VRay override this?

V-Ray ignores this option and it would be very hard to implement it.
