currently i am trying to get simple glossy glass material, it's ok with vray material and 0.8 for refract glossines, but the problem is that i am not satisfied with the shadows. i don't see any shadows from the window frame.
here is test scene with:
caustics multipl. 1.0
search dist. 3.0
max photons 60
and 7000(!) caustic subdivs for direct light. but i still see no frame shadows and glossy glass shadow seems too dark (i don't think that increasing multiplier will help)
i realy liked egz glass material cause it needs no caustics (less rendertime!) and it has transparent shadow, but there is no glossiness control
