  • Arch viz exterior and hdri

    Could someone enlighten me please
I saw some great looking images here lighted by hdris. When using a sky hdri, and hdris in general i cannot get a sharp sun shadow, but then again, by using a direct light for the sun, the side of the building facing the sun is too bright while the skylight side is too dark.
How do you people solve this, another tweaked hdri with the sun area removed (so the sky is pretty equall all over the hdri), color mapping (i've never found use for logarithmic exposure on exteriors, this could be it) or what?

    Thanks in advance?

Try using Vray's HSV Exponential colour mapping setting. This will stop you colours from blowing out in full sun.

    Regards,

    Chris.
