  • Rendering to standalone from max

We've got an office which is about 50/50 macs & pc's now - the macs are for designers and have no 3d software, and I want to use their power!

Is there any way to install vray standalone and be able to use them as DR slaves for a render sent from a max file? Maybe if the max scene was exported to render in standalone?

install Boot Camp, windows, 3dsmax, vray and off you go.

Yes, what Luke suggested might make more sense than trying to run the standalone (which is possible, but quite a bit more complicated).

      Best regards,

Fair enough, complicated does mean it's a no go. We'll get round to bootcamp in time, I was just wondering if there was a way to use them without having to buy windows Thanks!
