  • Portable License Utility

Does anyone out there use the Portable License Utility for Viz/Max? How can I use Vray Advanced with it? Authorization, etc.

I assume I can install the advanced version of Vray after installing Viz on another workstation. Before I do it though, I thought I might get some help.

    Thanks,

If you use the PLU you can use the authorization key you already have to authorize VRay on the other computer. The PLU moves the max ID along with the licence, and the VRay licence is tied to this.

        Authorization again

I just got a new workstation and used the PLU to successfully import my VIZ 4.0 license to the new pc. However, it still asked me to authorize VRAY with different max id codes and vray codes. The same serial number viz 4.0 is installed on both pc's. I just sent in a another request for a new auth code to vray. Am I doing something wrong?

        Thanks,

        Vince

Vince: are you using 1.09.x or the new internal build?

I'm using VRayInstall_Adv10903n40.exe, I downloaded it this morning. Should I use another version?

            Thanks, Vince
