  • Viewport background image

Is there a way to exclude a viewport background image from reflections? On reflective materials, it looks like the objects are translucent and the background image shows through them. I usually just composite in post, but sometimes it would be nice to be able to render in one pass without having the bg behaving like that with reflectives...

    Thanks for any help!

Is your environment mapped in "Screen" mode? You might want to use a spherical environment for reflections.

      Thanks for replying Vlado!
Actually, I dont want any reflections. But I found a half working solution by ticking the reflection env. override and leaving the black color. I can still see the background image poking though object with refl. mats but it's very dim. Still, strange behavior...

That might be the GI, actually.
