where did you find a demo of brazil

One thing that brazil had that I never understood why vray doesn't have is a simple secondary bounce multiplier. Put in "4" and you get "4" secondary bounces. Vrays method is a little bit more complicated. In brazil, to get good shadows in hard to reach places you just increase the # of bounces.

can you up the file somewhere for download?

              Curious what brazil can do

(note that render settings will be lost in this file - i use demo)

Hi, is this done with skylight or did you place an area light outside the room?

can you do one with skylight only because that was just the whole idea behind this test. the table needs to be in a region without direct light hitting it.

with the area light trick I can also render it in 2 minutes with vray and good quality.

using skylight only means using QMC only. its no impossible to get super high quality but not in minutes .. better use a light & photon, but without focusing the table. i doubt vray or any other renderer will be able to do this with skylight only (i mean NO vray light with NO skylight portal option)

Inquiries regarding evaluations or demos of Brazil r/s should be directed to sales@splutterfish.com and are handled on a case by case basis -

and pplz there is a guy spamming the sp forum about the irradiacne map they told me as a secret dont spam plz ye brazil will have one that the only thing he said ------ if u guys want more info www.splutterfish.com
im not gonna do more test im a vray user whit a demo that all dont wanna get any problems form this community peace.

I'm ZeBoxx, and it would be quite amazing for anybody to mention a version 1.5
Right now we're up to 1.2.x, I think 1.3, if anything, would be next

Not to mention claims of what would be better - it's a well-known (well, maybe not) fact I haven't used V-Ray (or other renderers, sans scanline) since my involvement with Brazil for exactly this sort of reason.

So I'd take everything else with a grain of salt.

                                *sound of record scratch*

Especially since the source of this information has been pointed out to me.
I totally forgot my login details for the v-ray forum (so I had to register anew, d'oh!).
I won't rehash the post, and instead highlight one key problem with it: The claim of having a demo of 1.28. There is no 1.28, 1.2.8, 1.0.28 or 1.2.28 that has been made available either commercially or as a demo.
Unfortunately others have pointed out that a post with similar claims was once made on a forum of more dubious origin and content.

It has also become apparent that this individual has withdrawn him/herself from making any further posts on this matter, and edited their existing posts to read a series of periods, as a result of this particular thread before this post, so I will leave it at that.

                                - omg he told me that by the irc of splutterfish or some one like bigfi1-1sh i dont know and he say he have never tested vray he say when im asking him he always says brazil is better vray only blurs the scene and i ask him more a lot and he pissed off and say ok brazil will have a irradiacne map like coz im telling him vray is faster.
about 1.2 is 1.2.xx and some shit i was not exact never
