Randomized logs

I am working on a logchurchproject. The logs are random and rough. Has anybody done this, successively, and do you have any tips? Below, is a photo, which shows the existingchurch. I need to model the existing, and the new.

thanks. that's probably how I would address's it. Is there a way to apply random noise modifiers on multiple object?
