    I'm curious.
    How do you get the viewport DOF to work. I have tried lots of different things, and I can't for the life of me get it to work. Is this feature only for 3dsMax, and not 3dsMax Design? (I'm using the latter).

      I got it working using a standard max camera (didn't try it with a vrayPhysicalCamera yet).

      In the camera settings, scroll down to 'multi-pass effect', click 'enable' and then select 'Depth of Field(mental ray)'
      Now you can change the fstop and target distance and it should update in the viewport.

      Combine this with the 'power preview' script (dynamic reflections), turn on hardware shaded materials (vray materials with mix-map, falloff and more shown in the viewport) and you can render some awesome looking stuff right out of the viewport!

        Yes. This is exactly what I did. There is no DOF when I do this.

          Make sure you are using Nitrous display driver.
