just a little note, Interesting, that when the Automator display selected, and moving the mouse the coordinates (down bellow the animation timeline) still indicated, like when you are moving them above the viewports. It doesnt makes any problem I just note

      Thanks for sharing good stuff.

Thanks a lot guys! If you've got any suggestions for new additions and/or suggestions for the ideal default values, please let me know.

I was thinking about including a toggle button for "Use Interpolation", but then the Interpolation settings for both reflection and refraction would also have to be there and that would make the script window way too large. Of course I can initially close those rollouts and make it a scrolling window if you open those rollouts, but what do you think? Do you use interpolation often enough to make it a worthwile addition to the script?

And are there other options you use a lot and are not present in the script? Let me hear it from you. I like the idea of the script being used by every VRay fan.

Losbellos, I noticed the continuing coordinates display too. Did you also try other MAXScript windows and checked if it's a usual phenomenon? If not, you can probably turn it off in your script. I'll check that out, as I'm still quite a MAXScript novice.

        Cheerio,

          I'll elucidate my default settings:

Glossiness: 1,0 -- Because I guess that's the most used value, for the fastest renders.

Subdivisions: 15 -- Because the default of 50 is too high and causes unnecessary slow renders if you don't use interpolation. Subdivision values lower than 15 start showing noisiness.

Maximum Depth: 10 -- Because the default of 5 is too low, causing less realistic reflections and refractions.

Index: 1,5 -- Because I think 1,6 is just a little bit too refractive for standard glass.

BRDF type: Ward -- Because it's the shader that looks best.

Light Multiplier: 30 -- Simply the default.

Light Sampling Subdivs: 12 -- because the default of 10 often looks just a little bit too grainy.

          Cheers,

          Metin
