  • vray or dreamscape?

hi! i need some help to decide what tools to use for a new project.
i have to do an animation where the camera moves from a very high point throu some clouds to some landmarks like churches or statues.

the problem is that i have to show a very large terrain mesh
(as big as germany) from high above and also some small details like church windows when i am near the ground.

should i use dreamscape to light the scene?
than i would be able to use the DS terra object that doesnt seem to work with vray, doesnt it?

or use vray with precalculated GI and a vray light for the sun?
    Reflect, repent and reboot.
    Order shall return.

Either can do it, though the clouds would be better if you used Dreamscape.
But by getting VRAY you would get more bang for your buck.
Two heads are better than one ...
....but some head is better than none.....

      i made some tests,
DS is twice as fast as vray on low-poly scenes with its fake GI renderer.
on high poly scenes vray is faster (with low irradiance map settings).
      Reflect, repent and reboot.
      Order shall return.
