  • need help regarding sketch type look

    Hello all i was wondering if there is a way to render something to make it look like a simple line drawing and if there also away to make a rendering a sketch that can be coloured in photoshop or just left as a black line sketch? is there any way to achieve this?? im desperate here deadline they want the vray versions aswell as this kind of hand drawn sketch look? is tehre any free plugins or ones that reequire purchasing ?? anythign at this rate would be greatly appreciated.

    You could try one of the cartoon renderers (cartoonReyes, NRP1, Illustrate!, finalToon). Max also has its own Ink'n'Paint material...

        i used to this using software called sketchup. It a very good software for architectural modeling and was few technic like gitter line, skech line and transparency. Normally i export model model form 3dmax as dwg and import in sketchup. U can download, 30 day trial copy from

          thanks for your input... we have sketchup here at the office i shall give it a try thanks! does ithandle complex models imported from VIZ?

            sometime it's takes very long to import .maybe becouse i build model in autocad or ADT and export as 3ds for rendring. i belive if u build clean model in 3dmax or viz ,should be no problem and it's work well this faces than autocad 3d face. Again it's good to split model if it's too big or many building.
