  • hdri multiplier vs light multiplier

Is there a difference between using the hdri multiplier instead of the light multiplier when using IBL? Whats the reason for having the two options? I have just been running some tests I cannot see any difference in the lighting.

Because you do not necessary have to use hdri in vray light slot, for example background slot.

Yeah that's what I had assumed, just didn't know if there was any difference in how the brightness increases between each multiplier.

There is no difference whatsoever; the two options are there for convenience.

vlado as a wish perhaps for the future could there be an option for exposure step (sorry if there is one already I don't use max that often these days).

Possibly, but yet another option to achieve the exact same effect is probably not what users need
