  • "Matte for refl/refr" - How it works?

    Hi everyone!
The option above (matte for refl/refr) should be the same if I check it on the object vray properties or using the VrayMtlWrapper.

Anyway, I've created a normal plane with some vray lights and a simple object on it. I want the base plane to be a matte object, 'cause I simple want to see the background behind. But I also want to see reflections on the plane created but the object on it, so I have created a relfected material for the plane and checked "Matte Object" and "Matte for Refl/Refr" for the palne.
But once render I simply see the scene object with no relfection above it.

I'm using incorrectly the "matte for relf/refr" option?

    Thank you.

Can you attach a simple scene with your set up? Everything works fine here.
Note that "Matte for Refl/Refr" option controls whether you will see the reflection of the ground in the object or not.

Ah... ok thank you.. I've misunderstood the usage of that option.
