Locating Distributed Rendering temp file

Max just crashed after completing a render using DR.

Does anyone know where max saves the file just before rendering begins??

Hope this makes sense.

Depending on which 3DSMax you are using the DR file is saved into:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20 12 - 32bit\enu\temp
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20 12 - 64bit\enu\temp

Username is windows account that your are using.

Is there any chance to keep the file there and overwrite with new rendering?

I don't think that is possible - the file is created once the render is started and it is automatically deleted after the render finishes.
