  • animation precalc, multiple views

I'm wondering what tips you folks might have with precalcing a scene with multiple cameras. 6 cameras, 100 frames each, all within an interior space.

I know with IRR I can setup incremental add to current map and run each camera to store all the data into a single IRR. But what about for LC? The reasoning is that I want to batch render 6 cameras without too much headache. I'm already setting up different scene states for some views that have geometry slightly obscuring their views.

    thanks

Maybe I could use Brute Force as my secondary instead, but do I keep it off while pre-calcing the IRR, then turn it on for final render?

      Hi,
Note that IRR map calculations are based on the Secondary engine (if such are selected) and when you save the IRR map, it will keep all the information from the Light cache (for an example).
So you can keep Brute force for the IRR calculations and then set to "none" (the Secondary engine) when render. In case you want to use secondary engine.

Another approach that you can try is to use the camera path (for Irr map and LC) method, if you render fly-trough animation.
