  • Comparison between two lighting situation: it's the same?

    Hi!

Maybe it's a stupid question but I'd like to know if these two situations are the same under every point of view (render time, quality, etc.)

1-a VryaPhysicalCamera with Exposure OFF and some VrayLights with intensity of 30.0
2-a VrayPhysicalCamera with Exposure ON (a high ShutterSpeed value of 300) and some VrayLights with intensity of 4000.0

At the end the two final render should be the same (same EV), but I'd like to know it in the second situation using a so high intensity value to mantein the same "exposure", could create some problem, maybe artifacts or increase render time... I don't know.

    Thank you very much!

Why wont u just set it up and test it ?

Anyway I think u should not use any exposures in max at all neither vray/max. Just go with solid render and use exponential if you really badly need to.

    Thanks, bye.
