  • Shade Map render problem

    Using max 2013, vray 1.30.01, windows 7 64bit, rendering locally and trying to do the shade map DOF trick. Unfortunately no vrst file ever gets saved. I've simplified it down to a teapot a vray camera, one light. I've tried every possible value for the stereoscopic parameters in addition to the correct ones for the trick, and still nothing. Any ideas?

    My under standing is shade map isn't working properly. I have tried it, without success, and gave up.

      There is a bug in the official builds for 3ds Max 2013, due to the Unicode stuff. It's been fixed in the nightly builds though, so you might try that. Other than that, it works fine.
