    I did that recently on a certain "Movie". I had to keep the dof in cg. Due to amount of layers we would otherwise have to slice with. Regardless of that I ended up with 64 render layers each ranging from 10-60 render elements I seriously doubt achieving something complicated as what they had was done in a few passes

    But then again, Ilm does things all in cg...so I hear anyway.

      I was helping them with Dark Souls 2 the bridge scene (modeling, texturing, materials, lighting) so yep it was rendered in vray

              There was a breakdown of one of their last projects where they showed the compositing for each shot - base render, 4/5 layers and a few color correct nodes. I cant find it right now but each shots string was about 15 nodes long, and their big thing was being able to copy every shot into the same fusion file for consistency.
