After updating from 2.25 to 2.40 I noticed that the Lens Effects are no longer accessible in the Vray VFB, but only through the Environment and Effect dialogue. I thought I had read in a thread that in future releases it would be in the VFB. Why the change? I thought it made more sense in the VFB. Also when updating the effects through the Environment and Effect dialogue, it always opens up a new Max Frame Buffer with the updated effect which is a bit annoying. Just wondering if the effects still be found somewhere in the VFB that I'm not seeing? Cheers.

It happens frequently enough that I save before making each adjustment, but the freeze doesn't happen every time.
Regarding the freeze, well, system is frozen on the screen, and needs to be "hard-booted."(not sure if that actually means anything.)
Always using vFB and VrayPhysicalCamera.
It also seems to happen more often when "Interactive" is checked, but that might be a reach.
I've tried it using loaded IR maps and light cache files.
...with and without DOF
...different gamma settings
...with and without obstacle image
...all 3 types of glare (i.e. from image, from render camera...)
...all 3 types of "mode"
...scenes have a mixture of vraylight materials (no GI) vray lights and 3dsmax IES lights.) (still testing to see if the max ies could be the culprit.)
The little green progress bar (update control) will move somewhere between 50-75% full and that is when the freeze happens...
I also should disclaim that I'm using an old Q9550
