  • converting 32 bit exr to 8 bit in PS

I know this isn't a PS forum, but i thought i would ask anyway and see what happens.

I am trying to convert a render I created in Vray to 8 bit. I have all separate render elements and I want to keep them when I convert it, but if I choose don't merge, when I convert,, I don't get the HDR toning option and once its converted, the image gets completely blown out.

Any suggestions on how I can do this. I'm using CS6

    Thanks

OK, it seems I can take each element before i comp them and convert them to 16 bit. So that will do.
