  • excluding glass from GI, which way?

How you guys exclude window glass form GI ? Do you simply exclude glass object from lights (both indirect illumination and shadow casting) or you disable in vray properties for glass object "visible to GI" ?

The best way would be to turn off the "visible to GI" option in the V-Ray object properties.

depending on why you want to do that, maybe another option is to leave off the "affect shadows" button check box in refraction and leave the channels on color only
But obviously like I say that depends on your reasons for wanting to exclude your glass from the GI, as this version does something different...

What reason would there be to exclude glass?
