  • Itrees and forest pack

    Hi
I have been using itrees, and flowers ect for many years now, but see no really movement in the company in years.
The choice here seems to be forest pro.
Should I investing in forest pro as it seems to a company that is continuously moving forward tech wise.

    Opions would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    phil

ps Happy (belated) St Patrick's Day.

I dont see any reason why you shouldnt use forest, you can use your itrees and iflowers models in there, but dont forget, forest is for scattering obejcts and its not an modeller or plant generator.

I use FPP all the time, and some of the itrees/plants collections are still on my short list...itoo keeps adding better and more models and presets with practically each (free) update. The updates are also fairly frequent, and substantial, IMO. I also have Multiscatter, although I pretty much never use it anymore. hth

I love Multiscatter, great UI, simple does the job, however it's node-locked license and lack of updates has made us move over to ForestPro, which I like but it's too geared towards Trees, it's a scattering engine that can scatter anything and that's why Multiscatter still works better for us sometimes.

I wrote a 3 page email to the guys at Multiscatter suggesting how they could make the next version even better but they didn't show much interest and I find their attitude on their message boards somewhat unprofessional.

Itoo Software seem a lot more professional.

I used multiscatter for a good 2 or so years, and in the last 2 months made the jump to Forest Pro.

Yes, Forest Pack Pro is just fantastic. And latest vesion Pro 4 is supported with VRay RT CPU and GPU, which is super!

FPP is awesome. It can scatter anything and provides a lot of control. It's all I use now.
