  • .tx tiled mipmapping

    I use both Max and Maya (although more Maya the past few years) and we've been using tiled .exr and .tx textures with vray. I know Max/vray can handle tiled exr, but can it also do .tx? I apologize if this has been discussed before. I did several searches for it but everything was coming up for Maya and not Max.

    The latest nightlies can do .tx files through the VRayHDRI loader. The stable builds might be able to handle this too, but I'm not too sure.

        You can even do the whole thing with the <UDIM> and <UVTILE> tags; as well as custom tags based on user node properties.
