  • Strong moire

I'm having a really disturbing moire effect in a render, caused by scaled tiles in a facade. I'm playing with antialiasing values and filter methods, but the moire is still there. Any advice? Any parameter more to consider? Thanks in advance.

when I have moire problems I usually change the filtering of the map/s from piramidal to summoned area....that usually fixes it or alleviates the problem...especcially w/ bricks.

blurrying the texture a bit in PS can also help quite a bit...

AA should fix it. What settings do you use and what AA filter? minmax=0,2 is usually good.

for very fine patterns I found that using two-level AA around min/max = 1/4.
works really well, and gets rid of minor artifacts that adaptive has torpble with....

Thank you to all. It was a curious artifact. It disapeared with the addition of textures
