  • vray lens effects aperture shapes

Am I missing something ? I've checked out Pixela's tutorial and she explains that you can create different bitmaps for the lens effect to use using filter generator but I cannot see how to create the aperture shapes she shows further down the page.

          Hi Stevesideas,

Most probably those shapes are created with some graphics editing program. In my opinion they should be used as a obstacle image.
The V-Ray Filter Generator is designed to produce .HDR files, which can be used to add physically correct effect to the final image.

That's what I was thinking. From the tutorial it looked like the filter gen could create those. Not to worry.

If anyone is interested, I found a good resource for bokeh shapes which you could use inside vray lens effects. LINK
