  • Removing Jaggies From Render

Sorry but I have not used VRay much, which setting(s) do I need to adjust to eliminate the jaggies from a render. It's most ovbious where there are lots of corners really close to eachother.

    Thanks.

You are probably rendering with fixed rate and 1 as your AA settings this doaes not antialiasing. Turn on Adaptive with -1 and 2. The renderer will take longer, but it wil look nice and smooth. You can try -1 and 1, but you will probelm still get aliasing.

excellent, I will play with those settings. And the splotches article is very helpful too.

        Thanks.

Ok the jaggies are gone but now the textures mapped to the objects seem to be blurred, more so on distant objects. Is this normal?

          Cheers.

Vray was setup to blur objects away from the camera more as fas as I know. Something that has helped slightly is in the global switches, uncheck the filter maps option. Hope it helps some for you.
