        Some things there that I cannot wait for;

        better brute force speeds (finally usable in my production environment!)
        progressive rendering (interesting)
        vertex merging (would like to see how this performs)
        "Automatic asset transfer for DR – No more missing maps EVER!" Brilliant!
        Render subset (excellent!!)
        Metaballs - I have no use for them, but I can't wait to play with them.
        Check out my (rarely updated) blog @ http://macviz.blogspot.co.uk/

        Cache nothing. Brute force everything.

                Very good release !

                Render subset is like render just selected objects ? With another shaders on these objects ?
                Or render at the same time different shaders on the same object ?

                  Amazing update, really. I'm extremely pleased to see that 3+ of my wish-list wishes have been done. That's just fantastic. And everything else on the list looks useful or just genuinely exciting. Top notch! Can't wait to upgrade.

                      Can't wait. The updates look great. BF being one of the biggest for me. I'm interested in the last bucket syndrome. Would this be sharing out the buckets between finished DR nodes to speed up any final buckets...normally render nodes would just be sitting there waiting... Anyone got any ideas ?

                        If that "trace sets" means what i think it means, that's definitely a big big production enhancement.
                        Can't wait to put my hands on it.

                            I dunno where but I read something about dynamic bucket size. Will try to find the link again when I get home :P

                              really lovely features!
                              I hope that the render sets will mean what i hope they will do - rendering for example isolated glass ball in the middle of full equipped room with all the refractions and reflections - THAT woudl be every productions dream in my opinion
