Architectural Materials Compatible with VRay?

Hi,

I'm confused as to whether Architectural (not Arch & Design) materials are compatible with VRay. I would never use then by choice but they occasionally get into my scenes through objects created in AutoCAD. The VRay messages window has warnings saying they are incompatible but they are creatable from the material/map browser.

Also:

areMtlAndRendererCompatible (architectural()) renderer:(vray())

returns true.

So are they compatible or not?

Something will render out, but it will usually be wrong and/or slow.

Yes, that's what I'm finding.

Would it be possible to change the result of areMtlAndRendererCompatible to return false in future releases?
