Purchase now or wait for v3

The company I have just moved to are looking to purchase VRay. Now I know v3 is on the horizon.
Will there be the same as before, if you purchase within a few months of the new release you will get the upgrade free?

I'm very brute-force addicted, as I understood in v3 will be a lot of speed improvements for this method, I would whait for v3 even if it would take months
by now just dreaming to play with a beta version at least :>

Users who purchased V-Ray 2.0 for 3ds Max between 4 August 2013 and the date of the V-Ray 3.0 for 3ds Max official release will be eligible for a free upgrade. They will receive 1 V-Ray User License (GUI) and 3 Render Node licenses.

I agree with Torgeir, and go ahead and get it now. You will be able to get up to speed with many of the features and have assets ready for your pipeline. No wasted assets while waiting for v3.

As everyone has said, go ahead and purchase v2 and move to v3 with 3 render nodes all at no cost when released. It will most probably be the last time you can purchase 3 render nodes so inexpensively! And you can always join the v3 beta so you can be up on v3 when the time comes.-Alan
