  • HDR Light Sources + Free Sample Pack

    Hey Everyone,

    I just launched a new website/shop over at HDRelements.com

The collection consists of HDRI light source textures.

For the free download pack, simply sign up for the Mailing List at the bottom of the page.
That will forward you a link to the pack after you confirm subscription.

When lighting shots, I attempted to find these kinds of HDR light sources before, but never succeeded.
There were always plenty of spherical HDRs around, but I could never find the light sources themselves.
I initially shot a few, and decided to make a more comprehensive collection.

Here's a preview of a few lights on the website:

Here's a raw render preview of the lights in action. These three HDRs are also in the free sample pack.

Very interesting concept, it could be useful for street scenes in arch viz. Bookmarked

Thanks. It's a specialized type of hdr that you seem to need only when the issue arises. Particularly for 3d night scenes of streets, garages, parking lots, etc.
Also helpful when your subject is very reflective like a car or a wet ground, and want all the light source details that the HDRs provide.

I am considering the inclusion of the hdrs along with exrs containing embedded alphas at this point. I am perfectly fine with using the light intensity to generate the
alpha, but perhaps others would appreciate a different workflow with the alphas.
