  • multimatte - no object behind glas?

    Hi,

my objects behind glass are still not visible to multimatte - i should work, but it doesn´t. Some secret knob seems to be pressed in my scene and I don´t get the clue....
I have a glass (reflection/refraction affect shadow, affect all channels)
I have an object behind (standard shader, object id set
I have an multimatte with id set.
I can see the object through the glass in the rendering of course
I can see the object beside the glass in the multimatte
I CANT see the object BEHIND the glass in the multimatte

You can find the scene here:

maybe somebody has the helping idea....

there seems to be a problem with the multimatte element and glossy refractions lower than 1. I can't seem to make it work if the glass object has glossy refractions, but this might be a bug with multimatte? as it seems consistent.
your material in particular also had both reflections and refractions set on all channels, this gives weird results, even with alpha channel in this case. to see an object through you may want to have only refractions set to all channels.

ok, now I can see it also - it is the blurryness of the refraction!
      Thanks a lot, Matthias
